Customer Service Center (CSC)/Retail Store Appearance and Dress Guidelines
Appearance standards are an important part of maintaining a professional atmosphere and portraying a positive business image to our customers, vendors, and the public at large. In general, we are all expected to present a clean, neat and business-like appearance in the workplace. Personal hygiene and appropriate attire, including company provided uniforms are necessary to achieve our goals. These guidelines apply to all regular and temporary employees working within the Customer Service Center/Retail Store channel.
As Comcast employees that assist customers in person it is our responsibility to demonstrate and portray a professional image and appearance. Therefore, the following standards will be implemented and adhered to effective November 1,2011 If you have any questions about what attire is appropriate, please consult with your manager.
Daily appearance Expectations:
Your name tag should be worn on the opposite side of the Xfinity logo and centered
Report to work with a neat, clean (hygiene and clothing) and professional appearance to both customers and co- workers
Hair, beards and mustaches are to be neat, cleaned and maintained that is presentable in terms of the expected professional business image
No visible body or facial jewelry
No visible tattoos
Acceptable Comcast Store Retail Attire
Shirt: Comcast/Xfinity branded light-blue shirts Approved shirts will be provided to our CSC Manager, Sales Consultants and Operations Consultants Shirts must be clean and pressed Long-sleeve branded shirt options will be provided Normally, we expect the shirt to be tucked in, but this will be determined by the Manager i.e. length of shirt too long Pants: Khaki dress pants/slacks (polyester, cotton and wool blends) Pants should be clean and pressed Black dress belt required Shoes: Black Business Casual Shoes including flats, pumps or dress shoe (with black laces if applicable)
Unacceptable Attire:
Nothing outside the acceptable attire outlined above
No jackets, vests, sweatshirts, hats, or hooded sweatshirts unless provided by the company and approved as part of the uniform policy
No bagging or sagging pants
No open toed shoes, tennis shoes except black colored, shoes scuffed or worn in appearance
No hiking shoes/boots
No Cargo pants, jeans/denim, corduroy and capris
No Bluetooth headsets or cell phones while working
No leggings
Exceptions for religious or medical reasons must be approved by Human Resources. Failure to adhere to the dress and appearance guidelines may result in corrective action, up to and including termination of employment. Should you have questions about attire, please speak with your manager.
